Netmore extends its LoRaWAN network in France
Swedish operator Netmore is entering the French market with its LoRaWAN® network, adding to the already high performing offering provided by our partner Orange.
What does this mean for the IoT world and for Skiply ?
1- The entry of Netmore stimulates competition among operators, compelling them to deliver increasingly innovative and high-performing services.
2- Widely recognized for its extensive reach and remarkable energy efficiency, the LoRaWAN® network is extensively used for connectivity across IoT devices.
A new era for Sigfox
After navigating through challenging times, Sigfox, a trailblazer in 0G technology, is now gaining momentum under the wings of Unabiz presenting promising prospects for collaboration with its longstanding competitor, LoRa®. Rather than engaging in cut-throat competition, Sigfox’s CEO Henri Bong, strategically focuses on the convergence of technologies to maximize their synergistic potential. Agreements have already been signed with several countries to integrate Sigfox into future “Lora® devices and modules”.
All of these developments solidify Skiply’s strategic technological choices, as we have dedicated eight years of expertise to these low-power networks that are gradually becoming industry standards.
It’s important to remember that Skiply also operates private LoRaWAN® networks, distincts from thoses mentioned earlier.
In short, the advancement of LoRaWAN® and Sigfox networks open up new prospects for the IoT field, and Skiply is delighted to witness the evolution of these technologies to offer even more effective services to our customers.
